About the store

This site was created in August of 2008. Most of the items we buy are carefully selected at market each season. Some of them originate locally. Our business is based in Birmingham, AL. We do not have a store you can shop in person.

Sara Says is named after my first daughter, Sara. After she was born we considered her the boss! Whatever Sara Says goes. All of that has changed since then, but the name remains the same.

About Me

As a mother I know how important it is to dress children a certain way. When your children are looking great, it makes you happy and in turn everyone's happy!

With that in mind, please shop with confidence here that you will be happy with your transaction. You can read what happy customers have said on the "Reviews" page. Since some of them have shared their email address on the page, you know that I really did not invent any of those. They are all real people.

I was not raised here in the South. My father was a career military officer so we have traveled here, there and everywhere. Where have I lived? Really the question is, where haven't I lived? I have moved over 14 times in my life!

I attended an American high school in Heidelberg, Germany.

After that I headed to Tuscaloosa and attended the University of Alabama, graduating in 1990. I have had a career in sales for 10 years before staying at home when we started a family.
